"Andy Dances" A Memorial to Honor Andy de Groat

Andy Dances, a memorial to honor Andy de Groat [1947-2019], will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 7:30pm at Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South, NYC. ​

The program, hosted by Mel Andringa, will feature three of Andy’s dances, tribute performances by Molissa Fenley, Makram Hamdan, Catherine Galasso, and Frank Conversano, poetry performed by Christopher Knowles, Andy dancing on film by Robyn Brentano, remarks by Robert Wilson, Deborah Jowitt, Viviane Serry, and more.

Andy de Groat's dances will be performed by:

Andy Dances was co-organized by Robyn Brentano, Ritty Burchfield, Makram Hamdan, Carol Mullins and Sheryl Sutton, with additional input from Charles Dennis and Jacob Burckhardt.
