Bring On The Lumière! is a poetic performance work encompassing dance, theater, and light installation in which the Lumière brothers, French founders of cinema, find themselves trapped inside their own films. Choreographed and directed by Catherine Galasso, featuring lighting design by Elaine Buckholtz, and music by internationally acclaimed composer Michael Galasso, Bring On The Lumière! offers a meditation on transience and immortality, and an ode to early cinema. Co-Commissioned by ODC Theater and the San Francisco Foundation, in partnership with San Francisco Cinematheque. Developed through residencies at ODC, Atlantic Center for the Arts, and Headlands Center for the Arts.
