Show Me The Money is an evening-length work for six dancers created for a former bank vault at 14 Wall Street. 14 Wall is located directly across from the NY Stock Exchange, and I created this piece in 2009 in the wake of the Stock Market Crash of 2008. The vignettes examine how the economy affects the public psyche, how fear of the future affects our capacity for intimacy, and how anxiety manifests in human cruelty and hopelessness. |
