study #8: Vespers

May 30-31 2014

Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Picture

“Fall of the Rebel Angels” is an evening-length interdisciplinary work for 5-6 performers inspired by the Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens, and created by Catherine Galasso with music and sound design by Adam Bach. Using Rubens’ paintings as thematic scaffolding, the project investigates visceral physicality, sensuality and the spectacular. The project manifests as an ongoing series of performance “studies,” culminating in final performances in 2014 in New York.
